HERBIE FARNWORTH’S RUGBY LEAGUE RISING STAR STANDS OUT AS ONE OF THE BRIGHTEST IN THE NRL SOLAR SYSTEM OF NEXT-GEN PLAYERS.

From humble beginnings in the small Lancashire town of Blacko, England, Farnworth’s journeys to NRL powerhouse club, the Brisbane Broncos, where he has earned the Rookie of the Year award (2020) and the Allan Langer Award for Best Back (2021), has laid a path for the United Kingdom’s best juniors to follow and a poster boy for the English game.

His unorthodox journey began playing soccer as boy, where he caught the attention of English Premier League clubs Manchester United and Burnley and was invited to join their youth academy at age 10.

However, his heart was set on rugby league and he joined Wigan St Patricks, where he excelled at the junior level as a goalkicking fullback. Not long after Super League giants the Wigan Warriors began to court Farnworth, but his eyes were set on mixing it with the best of the best in Australia.

Sacrificing time with his close friends and family at home in the north of England, Farnworth was reduced to tears as he made the difficult decision to pack his bags and move to Australia as a 17-year-old, to chase his NRL dreams.

Living in what he describes as a “shoebox” in Brisbane, he fought back the urge to quit and go home to the UK and was finally rewarded for his dedication when he realised his NRL dream, debuting two years later in 2019.

Since then, he has become a mainstay in the Broncos side, clocking up 65 NRL games and 4 international caps for his beloved England, who he is currently representing at the 2022 Rugby League World Cup in his homeland.

Now at 22 years of age, standing at 6’3’ and 106kg, Farnworth’s speed and impressive footwork keep defences on high alert every time he touches the ball, cutting an imposing figure as a swash-buckling centre.

Humble and quick witted by nature, Farnworth enjoys spending his downtime with close friends and family while working on his skills in the virtual world as an avid gamer.

Farnworth’s good looks, willingness to learn and self-awareness make him an asset to any enterprises looking to join his journey as a rising star in the new generation of top line athletes.
