JOSH KERR REPRESENTS THE CURRENT GENERATION OF DYNAMIC NRL FORWARDS WHO REPRESENT THE CODE POSITIVELY ON AND OFF THE FIELD.

A proud Quandamooka man from the Moreton Bay region on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, Kerr shot onto the biggest rugby league stage in the 2019 Indigenous All Stars, where he scored a try on debut.

Born in Brisbane, Kerr played junior football for the Redcliffe Dolphins where he was scouted by the Melbourne Storm for their National Youth Competition team in 2016, where he gained representative selection for Queensland’s Under-20s side.

The next step to a full-time NRL career came with the St George Illawarra Dragons in 2017. In a testament to his persistence and work ethic, he entered a two-year long grind in the lower grades where his NRL dream hung in the balance.

It wasn’t until the 2019 All Stars where his stand-out performance on national TV provided a platform for Kerr to break into the Dragons NRL line up.

Queensland Origin selection beckoned in 2020 while he forged a consistent NRL career.

In fitting turn of events this year, Kerr was sounded out for a return to his junior club by Dolphins coach Wayne Bennett, who signed him on a two-year deal from 2024.

Standing at 197cm tall and 110kg, Kerr’s towering presence matches his infectious smile and larger than life personality, which light up any room he walks into.

His generous and kind nature have made him a favourite for media, staff, fans and administrators throughout the NRL.

Kerr’s totems are the Carpet Snake, Dolphin and Quompy Shell.
