THOMAS FLEGLER IS A YOUNG POWERHOUSE FORWARD ON THE RISE TO THE TOP OF THE NATIONAL RUGBY LEAGUE.
Born in the town of Innisfail in Far North Queensland, Flegler grew up in the town of Tully on his families Banana farm
Flegler played his junior football for the Tully Tigers, where he was scouted by the Brisbane Broncos.
Making the move south to Brisbane in 2018, Flegler drew comparisons to Broncos legend Shane Webcke by Justin Hodges for his uncompromising and physical style of play while representing Queensland in the under 20’s State of Origin.
Just one year later he made his NRL debut and capped off an impressive first season by taking home the Broncos Rookie of the Year Award.
In 2021 Flegler made a very proud debut in the State of Origin arena for Queensland in Game 3 of the series, which ended in a fairytale victory for him.
Dolphins coach Wayne Bennett made his move to bolster his forward stocks for 2024 by signing Flegler on a four-year deal while earmarking him as an important piece to the clubs rise in the NRL.
Flegler is 23 years of age, he’s a salt of the earth country boy who epitomises hard work and a no-nonsense attitude. He loves the outdoors and enjoys fishing, camping and rodeos in his spare time.
His favourite sports outside of rugby league are Boxing and UFC.
